HYDE is the lead vocalist for Japan’s
biggest rock bands, L’ARC-EN-CIEL,
VAMPS, and THE LAST ROCKSTARS,
and an internationally acclaimed solo
artist. HYDE rose to fame as the
vocalist for the iconic Japanese
stadium act L’ARC-EN-CIEL. The band
sold out the famous Tokyo Dome
stadium 17 times so far and being the
first Japanese band to headline
Madison Square Garden. L’ARC-ENCIEL
has released 12 studio albums
and 42 singles since the start of their
career and has sold over 40 million
records worldwide.
In 2008, HYDE formed VAMPS, a band
that would go on to frequently tour
the US and sell out arenas throughout
Asia and South America. In 2022, The
“super-band”, THE LAST ROCKSTARS
was formed along with YOSHIKI (X
JAPAN), SUGIZO (LUNA SEA, X JAPAN),
and MIYAVI. The band performed at
sold-out shows in Tokyo, New York,
and Los Angeles during their debut
tour in 2023. HYDE is currently
working on a follow-up to his last
album, ANTI which was featured in
Rolling Stone and on CNN.
HYDE has toured the U.S. as a special
guest with many internationally
recognized rock acts such as IN THIS
MOMENT, I PREVAIL, SIXX:A.M.,
STARSET, and APOCALYPTICA.
Additionally, HYDE has performed in
several festivals including VANS
Warped Tour, Rock on the Range,
Welcome to Rockville, Fort Rock,
Epicenter, Blackest of the Black,
Slipknot’s Ozzfest Japan, and
Download UK. Finally, HYDE also has a
significant following in Mexico and
South America, and receives offers
regularly for more shows in those
countries.
HYDE has over 63 million views of his
solo material on YouTube, and all of
his projects have over 437 million
views along with 431,000 daily views
of his videos.
