BIO

Best known for his work as Fake Laugh, Khan cultivated a devoted following with a series of critically-acclaimed releases that blended dreamy melancholy with sharp pop sensibility. The project also found significant success on streaming platforms, with several tracks reaching into the millions and the viral hit ‘Better for Me’ amassing over 20 million streams on its own. Beyond his solo work, his fingerprints can be found across some of the most emotionally resonant British indie music of recent years. He’s performed as a touring member of The Japanese House and Flyte, co-writing Flyte’s tender standout track “Speech Bubble.” Most recently, he’s been turning heads with his new band pencil, who have been causing a stir across the London circuit with their raw energy and off-kilter charm.
