Vaundy is a well-rounded artist whose talent has been globally recognized in his singing, songwriting and producing works. 20 year old artist, currently in university, also designs artworks for his albums and directs music videos.
Since his YouTube debut in spring 2019, his channel view reached over 85 million views and his music has been played over 180 million times on streaming platform by his subscribers in total in January 2020.
His debut album “strobo” , released in May 2020, topped Apple Music & iTunes and also scored No.1 in Shazam Japan chart as well as the 3rd place in Spotify Japanese viral chart. His song “FukaKouryoku” was picked for Spotifyʼ s TV commercial and Vaundy also provided the voice over. The album includes 3 tie-up tracks amongst which “Tokyo Flash” and “Tomoshibi” were picked for power-play track for Japanese national radio station. In spite of the difficulties with live performance under COVID-19, Vaundy performed solo performance with live steaming. His unique vocal and cross-genre musical talent have been captivating the audience and expanding his fandom amongst all generations from teenagers.
His musical endeavor has been widely recognized by creative global communities. Vaundy collaborated with an international pop sensation LAUV and participated in his album and released “Modern Loneliness (Vaundy Remix)” . His music video for “FukaKouryoku”(Global Dance Video) has also been featured on the global platform Nowness as their pick-up video for global streaming.
