A finalist in this 2021’s BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Introducing talent search, Nottingham singer songwriter JERUB is an authentic storyteller with a heart warming take on pop and indie.
Standing out as an artist whose music is filled with depth and raw emotion, JERUB released his debut single ‘Paint Me in Gold’ in 2019 and he’s gone on to build a beautifully pensive style that blends gospel, pop and indie influences. His authentic storytelling is deeply inspired by the realities of life – whether that be heartbreak or joy – and for his debut EP he explores themes of loss, reflection and hope. It’s a touching listen that has the ability to stop listeners in their tracks and provide real solace.
In the last year, he secured a finalist spot in BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Introducing competition back in April, standing out from over 10,000 entries, and he’s also been supported by BBC introducing, Radio1 and 6Music.
JERUB recently supported Australia’s Gang of Youths on UK tour, before returning to his hometown for a headline show at The Bodega coinciding with his debut EP release “Feel it”.
With festival appearances at Dot To Dot, Latitude, Splendour (Main stage), 3 Love Island 2022 syncs under his belt and a new record deal with Wolves Records, JERUB has made a profound impact with his ‘Feel It – EP’ and moves towards 2023 with strong momentum.
