Once a shy kindergartener, Berry grew up beach cruising and chasing alligators in a sleepy beach town in Florida. Brought up in a Polish home, with her mom raising her on reggae and polka, she very quickly developed her own unique sound. Wanting to be a painter before deciding on music, Berry’s greatest influences come from the works of Magritte, Dali and Modigliani; when she sees a painting, she hears a song. With this peek into Berry Galazka’s artistic vision, there is the promise of an exciting new face in anti-pop. Her most recent EP, ‘Man Can’t Hang, Ain’t Part of the Gang’, produced by biLLLy, boasts a collaboration with Suzi Wu & GIRLI and is mixed by Neil Comber (MIA, Rejjie Snow, AJ Tracey). Most recently ‘Man Can’t Hang’ was selected by Olly from Years & Years to be played on Future Sounds on BBC Radio 1. There was vast press support including The Independent, Clash, Line of Best Fit, Earmilk, DIY Mag, Gigwise and many more. Her first single landed on New Music Friday UK, Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds Pop x2 and Anti-Pop. The songs travelled transatlantically landing on VEVO’s Fresh Hip Hop and Alt-Hip Hop while also finding their way to Europe with over 500 radio plays. Berry’s Tiktok is quickly growing, gaining 15k+ followers from a viral video (600k+ views) of her pointing out that all major companies have white male CEO’s while her song ‘Man Can’t Hang’ played, this landed it on the New Music Tiktok charts.
